“Cahan Tobacco International” LLC Tobacco Cultivation Center started its operations in March 2017. The tobacco cultivation center is located in the Xıncab village area of the Kengaryli district, covering 2.6 hectares. Initially, in 2017, for experimental purposes, Virginia and Izmir oriental tobaccos were planted on 9 hectares of land in the Kengaryli district. The trials resulted in good outcomes, yielding 12 tons of high-quality dry tobacco.
The tobacco cultivation center has 5 greenhouses (total area of 2304 m²), 2 warehouses (400 m² each, semi-open and fully enclosed), 1 office building of 200 m², and a 2650 m² tobacco drying area. In 2018, a total of 41.1 hectares of Izmir Oriental and Virginia tobacco varieties were planted in the Kengaryli, Sharur, and Babek district areas.
