On March 6, a business forum was held in Baku, organized jointly by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy and the Caspian European Club. The forum, which was attended by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBIA, focused on discussions about the prospects for business development in Azerbaijan.
Representatives from KOBIA, “Cahan Holding,” the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Development Association, “Baku Textile Factory” LLC, and “Times Consulting” company made speeches and presentations at the forum. During the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between “Cahan Holding” and the Caspian European Club.
A special “KOB Friend” table was created at the event, where entrepreneurs participating in the business forum had their inquiries and proposals addressed through KOBIA’s KOB Friends. It should be noted that entrepreneurs, representatives from diplomatic institutions, and international organizations also attended the business forum.
Vugar Abbasov, the Chairman of the Board of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the leader of “Cahan Holding,” participated as a motivational speaker and shared his success journey.
He stated that due to the clear goals set and successful steps taken, over the years, the “Cahan Holding” Commercial Companies Union has transformed from a small company into a large entity encompassing production, trade, service, and construction sectors. Currently, the products manufactured by its affiliated enterprises are not only consumed in Azerbaijan but are also exported abroad. The goal is to further expand the scope of “Cahan Holding” and become a renowned company on the international stage.
Vugar Abbasov answered the students’ questions and engaged in sincere discussions with them.
On May 22, local entrepreneurs were invited to visit the fully automated production facility for plastic pipes, profiles, and accessories, established by “Cahan Industrial Complex” LLC.
The management of the facility provided information that the goal of the enterprise, which specializes in the production of plastic pipes, profiles, and accessories, is to supply the domestic market with high-quality construction materials. The fully automated equipment installed at the facility produces various door and window profiles, polypropylene-based composite and simple drinking water pipes, as well as polyethylene-based rigid irrigation pipes, PVC-based siding, cladding, and accessories, PVC-based soft rubber irrigation hoses, sewage pipes, and various pipe fittings. In total, 7 product types and 160 different variations are produced. The equipment also allows for testing the products’ resistance to pressure, heat, and impact, as well as checking the composition of the raw materials. Each product manufactured at this facility has been granted international certification.
The “Magna” brand, part of the “Cahan Industrial Complex,” operates in four main areas: PPR, plastic pipes and fittings, PVC profiles for door and window systems, siding and facade coverings, and the production of radiators and roofing materials.
Having become one of the region’s leading manufacturers of plastic pipes and fittings, “Magna” is taking significant steps in collaboration with global brands that are experts in this field. Participating for the first time in the “Aqua Therm Baku 2018” exhibition, “Magna” showcased its products and was awarded the prize for the best booth design. The company, located in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, operates sales and after-sales services across 10 offices in 8 different regions of Azerbaijan.
On October 28, 2020, an awareness-raising event was held at “Cahan AVM” LLC in preparation for the winter season, with the participation of Rashad Allahyarov, the Occupational Safety and Technical Safety Specialist of the Commercial Companies Union of Cahan Holding, and Captain Turan Shahhuseynov, a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The event was attended by 50 employees.
Captain T. Shahhuseynov provided detailed and comprehensive information to the employees about the necessary actions to prepare for the winter season. He explained what to do in case of any malfunctions in gas appliances and water heaters, how to recognize symptoms of carbon monoxide leakage in homes, and what initial steps to take in such situations. He specifically emphasized the importance of ensuring that chimney pipes are open when installing heating stoves in individual houses during the winter season and gave advice on which types of flue pipes should be used.
At the end of the event, the leadership of Cahan Holding expressed gratitude to the management and all staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for conducting awareness-raising activities with employees in the structural departments of the Holding.
On July 11, 2023, the opening of the energy and soft drinks factory of the ENNA company, part of “Cahan Holding,” located in Nakhchivan, took place. Equipped with modern equipment, the factory is the largest energy and soft drinks factory in the Caucasus in terms of production capacity. The opening event was attended by Fuad Nagiyev, the Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Tapdig Aliyev, the Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vugar Abbasov, the founder of “Cahan Holding” and the Chairman of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Nakhchivan, as well as the leadership teams of the holding and ENNA company.
In his speech welcoming the guests, Vugar Abbasov provided detailed information about the enterprise and the factory. He emphasized that the project is a significant event in terms of replacing imported products with local production, creating new job opportunities in Nakhchivan, ensuring employment for the local population, and improving the material well-being of the people. He stated, “The enterprise also gives us the opportunity to sell products to foreign countries. I believe that the products of the factory, which lead to customer satisfaction, will also be exported to neighboring countries, Central Asia, and Arab countries.”
In his speech, Fuad Nagiyev, the Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, mentioned that in the framework of the implementation of the “State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027,” new enterprises will continue to be established in Nakhchivan. Regarding the human resources potential of the enterprises, he highlighted the importance of training skilled personnel with modern professional skills using the potential of higher education institutions, secondary special education, and vocational schools operating in the Autonomous Republic.
The ENNA LLC company was established in 2022 by “Cahan Holding” to meet the domestic demand for energy and soft drinks in the country. The main goal of the enterprise is to continuously increase production capacity during its operation and to expand beyond the borders of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, selling carbonated drinks to other regions. The factory operates in three shifts and has the capacity to produce 230 million canned drinks per year. A total of 300 new employees have been hired for the operation of the enterprise, utilizing local potential.
Thanks to the application of GMP safety standards and the installation of innovative technologies at the factory, products are produced without human contact. The produced goods are tested in a modern laboratory, and only those that pass quality tests are released for sale.
On October 5, 2019, the Business and Investment Forum of the countries that are members of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council) was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The forum, led by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov, was attended by a delegation of 55 Azerbaijani representatives. At the forum, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was represented by Vugar Abbasov, Vice President of the Confederation of Azerbaijani Entrepreneurs, member of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, Chairman of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and President of “Cahan Holding” LLC.
The forum was attended by over 400 entrepreneurs from various Turkic-speaking countries, working in fields such as construction materials production, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, tourism, food sector, textiles, information and communication technologies, chemicals, oil and gas industry, machine engineering, electrical engineering, and other sectors.
The “Araz-Nakhchivan” Football Club, sponsored by “Cahan Holding,” was crowned the champion of the Azerbaijan First Division 2022/23 season and secured the gold medals.
At the ceremony held after the match at the Nakhchivan City Stadium, Fuad Nəcəfli, the authorized representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA), Serxan Hacıyev, the Secretary General of AFFA, Elxan Səmədov, the President of the Professional Football League, Vüqar Abbasov, the Chairman of the Nakhchivan Football Federation (NFF) and the founder of “Cahan Holding,” the leadership of “Araz-Nakhchivan” FC, as well as state representatives and prominent individuals from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, participated in the event.
Vüqar Abbasov, the Chairman of the Nakhchivan Football Federation, discussed the efforts that led to the championship of the “Araz-Nakhchivan” club, stating that “the club was practically created from scratch, the stadium was renovated, covered with natural grass, and equipped with lighting and sound systems. A football academy was established to develop youth football. The club’s sponsor, ‘Cahan Holding,’ has done everything necessary for the players to become champions. I am confident that the required steps will be taken to ensure the club’s success in the higher league in the future.”
After the speeches, the distinguished guests presented the gold medals and the champion’s trophy to the players of “Araz-Nakhchivan” Football Club in front of their home crowd at the home stadium.
Following the award ceremony, the event continued with a concert program. The fans enjoyed songs performed by Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ədalət Şükürov and Honored Artist Fərid Əliyev, and watched the performances of the beloved “Ponpon” rhythmic gymnastics group from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, spending a delightful time.

During the opening, Vüqar Abbasov greeted the guests and provided detailed information about the factory and the plant. He stated that the project is significant in terms of replacing imported products with local production, creating new jobs in Nakhchivan, ensuring employment for the local population, and improving the material well-being of the people. “The facility provides us with the opportunity to also sell to foreign countries. I believe that the products from the factory, which ensure customer satisfaction, will be exported to neighboring countries, Central Asia, and Arab countries,” said Vüqar Abbasov.

Following the speeches, the guests toured the factory grounds and visited the Quality and Process Control Department’s testing laboratory. The production facility was then launched, and the visitors were closely introduced to the production process. During the visit, factory employees answered the guests’ questions about safety and the operational principles of the equipment.
The “ENNA” LLC company was established in 2022 by Cahan Holding with the aim of meeting domestic demand for energy and refreshment beverages in the country. The main goal of the enterprise is to steadily increase production capacity every year, expand beyond the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and sell carbonated drinks to other regions. The factory operates on a three-shift work schedule and has the capacity to produce 230 million cans of soft drinks annually. A total of 300 new employees have been hired for the operation of the facility, with local potential being utilized for this purpose.
